James W. Harpel

Chairman and Senior Partner

Mr. Harpel is a co-founder of Two Roads Development responsible for the general oversight of the firm and chairs the Investment Committee.

He is an entrepreneur who has built and started a number of companies including being the Founder and now non-active General Partner for First Reserve Corp., a large private equity firm in the energy business with funds in excess of $20 billion; General Partner of Palm Beach Capital, a successful middle market private equity firm; Director and Consultant to RxAdvance, a medical industry software firm, and a consultant and shareholder of Codagenix Inc., a developer of unique vaccines for uses ranging from coronavirus to cancer. He is also been involved as a director, starter, and builder of numerous other companies.

For over 40 years, Mr. Harpel was on the Board of Directors of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and has an endowed chair at that institution. Currently he serves on the Board of Directors of the Belfer School for International Studies at the Kennedy School.  He is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.  He also served on the Board of Directors of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute for many years.  Mr. Harpel was a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2018.

Reid J. Boren

Managing Partner

Mr. Boren is a Managing Partner and Founder of Two Roads Real Estate Group. He is responsible for the oversight of various development departments including the day-to-day management of construction, design, finance, sales, marketing, and property management. He is also the firm’s liaison with its partners/investors and sits on the Executive Committee of the Board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County and Chairman of the Board of Global Empowerment Mission.

Mr. Boren has over 25 years of general real estate experience encompassing development, financing, management, and sales with a focus on Florida, New York, and Kentucky. He has participated in projects with costs exceeding $3 billion dollars within the residential, commercial, private, and retail sectors. In addition, Mr. Boren was engaged by many national and international financial institutions to handle the workouts and restructuring of condominiums during the recession in the mid 2000’s.

Taylor Collins

Managing Partner

Mr. Collins is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Two Roads Real Estate Group. Instituted in 2012, Two Roads currently has four luxury high-rise condominiums in its development portfolio and over 8,800 single-family lots in Florida, along with over 3 million square feet of future commercial development land in its portfolio. Collins is responsible for directing and overseeing new development, project acquisition, land planning and development, zoning, project management, financing, asset management and deal structure. Mr. Collins has over 18 years of real estate and development experience. He also is the Chair of the company’s Investment Committee and is responsible for the growth strategy of the company. Mr. Collins also sits on the advisory board for the University of Miami School of Architecture’s Master of Real Estate Development + Urbanism.

Brad M. Meltzer

Partner & President

Brad Meltzer is a Partner and President of Two Roads Development. In this role, he oversees real estate development activities from design through construction and supports the team in identifying new real estate opportunities as well as facilitating overall company growth. Specializing in delivering high-end developments, Meltzer has led award-winning projects from inception to completion across various asset classes, including condominium, multifamily, hospitality, office, and retail. A sampling of such ventures includes Biscayne Beach, The One Thousand Museum Tower, the 4 Tower Paraiso Complex, the Ritz Carlton Residences Miami Beach, The Marquis, Millicento, W Hotel South Beach, One Hotel and Homes, Icon Bay, Carillon Miami Beach (Canyon Ranch), Town Center One at Dadeland, the Aventura Mall Expansion, Westshore Marina Pointe, and Mandarin Oriental Miami. Meltzer has managed the construction of 15 buildings in excess of 35 stories and two in excess of 60 stories. He holds a Master’s in Architecture from Tulane University and has more than 30 years of construction experience, having led a top national construction firm as its CEO. Meltzer also sits on the Advisory Board of the University of Miami MRED+U and Construction Management programs, Tulane University School of Architecture Advisory Board, Gulliver Prep Board of Trustees, and Voices for Children Board of Directors.
